NEW HOME RESIDENTIAL TAX ABATEMENT PROGRAM – This tax abatement program applies to the 2017 Walcott Urban Revitalization Area which consists of the vacant lots in the Westbrook Subdivisions. These residential lots are eligible to receive an exemption from taxation on the first $75,000 of actual value added by the construction of a new single family home for a period of five years.
The property owner must apply to the City for an exemption by February 1st of the assessment year for which the exemption is first claimed (after new home is constructed). For further information, contact Lisa at City Hall.
The City of Walcott is accepting sealed bids for a 1990 Ford F-800 Dump Truck. This vehicle has approximately 37,000 miles and includes a 10 foot two-way snow plow and some miscellaneous spare plow parts. Written, sealed bids will be accepted until 2:00 p.m. on March 28, 2017, at which time they will be opened and read aloud at Walcott City Hall.
